Excellent accomodation. Close to Hobart city and Salamanca Square. Beautiful heritage building, from around 1870. Huge rooms. On site parking. Buffet breakfast every day, included in the price.

Fantastic place to stay, large open rooms, large beds and a great grand lounge to sit and sip some port at the end of the day.

Unfortunately this is not what we expected of a B&B with homely touches. It is run on the lines of a hotel but without any staff to greet you during the day. The rooms are comfortable but very sterile and rather dated. When we arrived at 12pm we knocked but no answer but a security pad near the door which we did not have the code for? Another couple arrived and let us in, fortunately, as there was not a soul around ! We finally got an email from the owners giving us the code. There was no choice of breakfast menu, with only toast or cereal if you didn't want what was on offer. To us it was definitely a misnoma to call it a B&B but more of a hotel with a part time skeleton staff.

Very communicative and friendly with good service and a great atmosphere. Room 505 looked out onto the front garden but was also overlooking the main road so it was a little noisy in the night. Otherwise it was a great stay.
