Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Tooradin Jetty, Foreshore rd, Tooradin, Victoria Australia

Quick refreshmenst stop in Tooradin is a popular fishing spot. Four kilometres east of Tooradin on the South Gippsland Highway is the town's airfield which offers scenic flights and skydiving. The airfield's restaurant is open to the public and specializes in seafood. A few kilometres further east on the highway is the Bunyip River.

Stop At: Phillip Island Nature Parks - Koala Reserve, 1810 Phillip Island Tourist Road, Cowes, Phillip Island, Victoria 3922 Australia

Only a 1hr 45min drive from Melbourne directly to Phillip Island, you will break this journey up and stop along the way to visit a Koala Reserve for a guided range tour.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Cape Woolamai Beach, Phillip Island, Victoria Australia

Crossing over the bridge in San Remo arrive to Phillip Island and make your way down to Cape Woolamai Surf Beach. Breathe in the sea air and taking a walk along the beach provides stunning views of this volcanic coastline. Look for Pyramid Rock in the distance!

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: The Nobbies Centre, 1320 Ventnor Rd, Summerlands, Phillip Island, Victoria 3922 Australia

As you enter Summerlands you will notice the absence of any housing, this is the part of the island which is all National Park. You will see the small wooden man-made burrows in which penguins who have not gone out fishing for the day are hiding. We will take a walk out around the board walks of ‘The Nobbies’ and have a look to see if we can spot any Little Penguins in their burrows, follow the walkways around to view ‘The Blowhole’ where waves come crashing up onto the dark volcanic rock, the caves and formations at this naturally craggy peninsula make for many dramatic photos, with the backdrop of Seal Rocks – on a sunny day you might be lucky enough to see Australian Fur Seals basking in the sun.

If you do not fancy braving the boardwalks then step inside the Nobbies Information Centre where you can peruse the gift shop, grab a hot drink or discover the ‘Antarctic Journey Experience’, Antarctic Journey Entry can be added on for $18pp and gives an immersive insight into the many marine animals of the Southern Hemisphere, as a WWF attraction your entrance fee will go directly back into helping protect and preserve these majestic creatures of the deep Southern and Antarctic Oceans.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Phillip Island Nature Parks - Penguin Parade, 1019 Ventnor Rd Summerlannds Estate, Summerlands, Phillip Island, Victoria 3922 Australia

As the sun begins to set it is time to make your way to the Penguin Parade, the Little Penguins only come out of the water after the sun has gone down so that they can be sure to stay out of the way of any predators in the air above them.

The Penguin Parade ask that no photography is taken from this point on, this is to protect the sensitive eyes of the Little Penguins and ensure they are not scared, Wildlife Tours fully supports this request and we believe you will enjoy getting to witness such an amazing natural spectacle without the distraction of getting the ‘perfect photo’ – allow yourself to be fully immersed in the experience!

The penguins were fascinating to watch, the scenery was beautiful, and the weather was perfect. We enjoyed walking on the beach and visiting the wildlife park. As we are above average in size, the bus seats were not as comfortable as I had hoped for a long trip of 12 hours.

Really exciting trip to philip island. Stop at Maru park, able to see kaola and wallabies, and best things was helicopter ride and watch penguins parade

I came back extremely disappointed and feeling rushed after this tour. The allocation of time is terrible as there was no time to visit the information center at the National Park after a rushed dinner to get to the Penguin Parade which itself is MAGNIFICENT. MARU Wildlife Park is really caged animals who should be sleeping / resting during the day; it seemed forced, and incomparable with the freedom of the national park. Note there are no photographs allowed during the Penguin Parade, which policy had not been advised by the tour guide / driver.

Lots to see, lots of fun. The coach was comfortable and our guide JP was very warm and friendly. Easy pick up from Holiday Inn on Flinders Lane.

We had a very good experience visiting Phillips Island. The guide was enthusiastic and very helpful. The penguin parade was a perfect end to the day, and worth the long trip!

The trip is quite enjoyable, with a wonderful guide @ JP. Started on time in a comfortable coach. The nobbies centre is a great place to visit with a spectacular view. The penguin parade is something that you must enjoy the experience if you are in Melbourne. We reached CBD at 1130 pm, after a long day but worth every moment of it.

This was a wonderful tour to see the gorgeous beaches and cliffs on Phillip Island, along with all its wildlife. We had plenty of opportunities to see wild wallabies and even an echidna. And the walk along the Woolamai beach was amazing (don’t turn your back on the ocean, you’ll get wet!). The tour has plenty of stops where you get enough time to wander about, and ends with the amazing experience at the penguin parade. Our guide, Troy, was great. His tips on where to go and sit and what to do at the penguin parade (don’t just stay on the beach) were absolutely spot on. One helpful tip, when they say bring warm clothing, they mean it. It gets very cold on the beach at night, so come prepared!

Our tour guide Simon is great! Visited several interesting places. There was lighting so we couldn't spend much time to watch the penguins.

Well organised tour that was excellent value for money. Saw koalas, wombats, kangaroos and wallabies up close but penguins undoubtedly the highlight. We chose the underground viewing that was well worth the extra as it was a cool evening and you needed to be in place at least 30 minutes before the penguins came on shore. It is a late night as the coach did not get back to Melbourne until after midnight. Dave. V our driver excellent not only for his good humour but also his knowledge.

Penguins parade was wonderful and very close to watch . However the tour is too long(12 hours) and can be easily shortened. An hour at Cape Woolamai is too long when there are no swimmers in the party. Trip to Koala park is basically a trip to children’s animal zoo. The guide was wonderful and very enthusiastic. Drop off near the hotel after midnight was very much appreciated.
